May 1, 2022: Exodus 13:17–22 - “The Lord Will Be with Us”

Just as the wilderness wanderings lay between Israel's freedom from slavery in Egypt and their eventual entrance into the promised land, so the long journey of sanctification lies between our salvation and our destination. Like the Israelites, we are taken on the "scenic route"—it's longer, more winding, and more unexpected that we expect and desire. But it is the exact route God knows we need to be taken on, and he is with us every step of the way.
