September 25, 2022: Mark 8:22–10:52 - “Eyes to See the Suffering King”

Mark 8:22–10:52 is the hinge of Mark's Gospel. Not only does Jesus move increasingly closer to Jerusalem throughout this section, but the reader gains increasing clarity on what's going to happen there—namely, Jesus is going to suffer, die, and rise on the third day. This sermon overviews this section of Mark, which gives us a clear vision of our serving, suffering, sacrificial King, and what it means to follow him.
