What We Value: Unity in Diversity - Ephesians 4:1-16 - May 7, 2023

The world offers us either uniformity (with no diversity) or mere difference (with no unity); neither of these approaches is practically satisfying. Christianity gives us something better: unity-in-diversity. This passage shows us that unity-in-diversity exists at the heart of God, who is a Trinity, and exists in salvation, as diverse people enter into one body, one faith, one baptism and receive diverse spiritual gifts for mutual upbuilding. The result of preserving this unity-in-diversity is a mature truth that builds itself up by speaking the truth in love.
